Our strategy was to implement outside-the-box thinking to create engaging social and video content. As our football team went on their Super Bowl run, we looked to capitalize on their success with our digital platforms. We also relied on our passionate fan base to provide us with user-generated content that could be viewed and enjoyed by millions.
As a result of our strategy, the last calendar year saw our official Twitter account grow by over 1.5 million people (103%), the highest of any NFL club. We also became just the fourth NFL team account to reach the three-million follower mark. Also, our Twitter account saw the highest interaction rate of any NFL club.
Our Instagram account led all 32 NFL clubs in engagement rate and had the highest follower growth at 48.68% (up nearly 460,000 followers). Also, our Facebook page saw the highest growth of any NFL club at 7.01% (up over 212,000 followers).
