In The Know Conservation by AOL is a social video brand within Oath, Inc aimed at creating and distributing content that furthers the missions of conservation and environmentalism. In just a few short months, the page has garnered +150 million video views on Facebook, highlighting products, stories and initiatives that are geared towards creating a more eco-friendly world. The team decided to launch this page to inform millennial audiences about ideas and ways to be involved or interested in conservation efforts.

Strategy and Execution

Our team activated on this Facebook page concept quickly and strategically. We knew that we wanted to build and attract and audience with the focus of conservation in mind. We continue to focus and think every day about how we can create social video content that educates and informs people on the most innovative conservation efforts around. Our strategy has been focused on both original and UGC content that fits the mission of the page. We're unique because we've managed to grow this page from 0 followers to almost a million, all in the name of conservation and the environment, through creation of video content.


We've met our teams objectives and goals by hitting the 150M video view mark and reaching almost a million followers, but we don't see it stopping there. We hope to continue to grow this page and this brand to follow the mission of distributing content with a conservation focus. We've brought online, social viewers the conservation content they want and need.
