Objectives

Persistent and unyielding in our commitment to a just multiracial democracy, Public Wise, fights to secure a government that reflects the will and protects the rights of the people through education, research, organizing, funding, and partnerships that support voting and equitable representation.

The Insurrection Index was created to hold electeds, people seeking public office and organizations involved in the January 6th Insurrection accountable for their actions at The Capitol that day.  It exists to ensure transparency, and to ensure the people involved in trying to dismantle our democracy do not become elected into positions of power and public trust - if we, the American people, have anything to say about it. It combines honesty and emotion to frame the story of Jan. 6th as one that tested the foundations of our Democracy but did not break it. It communicates the purpose and impact of the Insurrection Index writ large - that those who challenge the principles of Democracy should not be governing in our name. This video captures the brave emotional journey of legislators, law enforcement officers and government staffers who fought back on Jan 6th and emphasizes the mobilizing spirit of the Insurrection Index calling audiences to action.  It is an emotive yet forward-looking campaign that reminds people of their agency under The Constitution of The US. Public Wise distributed the video across all social media platforms.

Strategy and Execution
