AwesomenessTV's strategy is a two-prong strategy centered around creating an incubator system to test up-and-coming talent and a tentpole prong to create bigger formats with influencers we know our audience wants to see more of. This strategy is mindful of YouTube’s algorithm and best practices while also remaining nimble and exciting. An example of this two-prong strategy is our short form show "VS" which allows us to both showcase influencers that our audience already loves from our long form content as well as test new talent on the channel. When new talent preforms well for our audience in our short form shows, it allows us to create tentpole docu-series programming that our audience knows and loves.
We continued to create spin-off series off our most successful franchises optimizing what we know our audience loves with a new format or new talent surrounding it.
This year we optimized for watch time, making many of our episodes are much longer, with the hope of simultaneously increasing views and subscribers. We increased our subscriber base by targeting talent’s audience in order to get them to our channel and subscribe.
In 2019, AwesomenessTV had a total of 711M views, 3B minutes watched, and 1.1 million subscribers gained.
