@midnight is more than a late night game show, it is an immersive around-the-clock experience that is constantly redefining interactive entertainment. It all starts on television, where comedians compete for POINTS! In games about what happened that day on the internet. But from 12:30 until midnight the next day, the show is alive on the internet. And not just as a television show with some social accounts. It's a show that's created from the internet, for the internet. The first ever show that's alive 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Strategy and Execution

From cats to porn and everything in between, the internet is a crazy place. Enter @midnight, Comedy Central's late night game show that is made by the internet, is about the internet, and is for the internet. It's about all that's happened online that day, from trending topics you've been discussing all day to obscure things that you may have missed, but @midnight didn't. Sure, there are some shows on TV that feature clips from YouTube or that flash a hashtag, but there's truly nothing out there quite like @midnight.

It all starts on the TV, where Chris Hardwick hosts a panel of three comedians who joke about the obsurdity of the internet. But it doesn't stop there. @midnight also lives online via- various social media platforms and an expansive website. Twitter, Tumblr, Vine, Facebook, Instagram… every social platform does something unique, and @midnight leverages the capabilities of each so that the same stuff isn't just recycled on each.

There's nothing better to the social media generation than fame and recognition, so @midnight also offers that up. Just for following @midnight on Twitter, three lucky fan are chosen every week in Tag Team Thursdays. Each fan is paired with a comedian, and if their comic wins, that fan wins a prize. Fans are also recognized for participating in the many social games @midnight plays by revealing jokes, fan art, and clever hashtags on the air.

We have entered a digital rennesane and a new interactive age, and @midnight is along for the ride as the most interactive and social program on television.
