Objective

The primary goal of the partnership between LinkPrefer and Temu was to drive sales growth and brand awareness through an innovative and multi-faceted influencer marketing campaign. Temu sought to increase its online presence, engage a broader audience, and boost GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) through strategic influencer collaborations across multiple platforms. We aimed to engage influencers with diverse followings on TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Instagram, leveraging the unique strengths of each platform to amplify the reach and impact of the campaign.

This campaign was designed to align with Temu's objectives by ensuring that each influencer’s content was tailored to their platform, maximizing engagement while fostering a positive connection with the audience.

Strategy

To bring the Temu influencer campaign to life, LinkPrefer focused on a multi-platform strategy that reached diverse audiences at various touchpoints throughout the campaign period from January to November 2024. The strategy was built around selecting influencers with authentic connections to Temu’s product offerings and matching each influencer’s strengths to the optimal platform for engagement.

Platform Selection and Influencer Engagement
We identified 107 influencers across TikTokYouTubePinterest, and Instagram, based on their reach, engagement rates, and relevance to Temu’s target audience. The influencers were carefully selected to reflect Temu’s core customer base, focusing on fashion, lifestyle, and home decor.

Execution and Innovation
Throughout the campaign, LinkPrefer maintained close communication with the influencers to ensure content consistency, creativity, and the use of unique promotional codes for tracking purposes. The campaign also incorporated key features such as affiliate tracking and creator reports to monitor performance in real-time and optimize influencer efforts.

One challenge faced was coordinating influencer schedules and content timelines across multiple platforms. To overcome this, we created a centralized content calendar and developed templates to ensure influencers followed consistent branding guidelines while maintaining their personal creative touch.

Key Challenges and Overcoming Them
Managing the multi-platform approach required meticulous attention to detail, especially when adjusting content to meet the unique requirements of each platform. We continuously analyzed data to identify the highest-performing influencers and optimized the campaign by reallocating resources to the most successful content types and platforms. Additionally, we encountered logistical challenges related to product availability and shipping delays. However, these were addressed by working closely with Temu’s operations team to ensure timely product deliveries to influencers.

Results

The partnership between Temu and LinkPrefer resulted in a significant upward trend in sales and brand exposure. By leveraging a unique affiliate model that combined high commission rebates (50% for new customers and 10% for returning customers) with advertising fees, we saw a remarkable increase in performance across all metrics.

The collaboration involved over 100 influencers from diverse platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest, who generated substantial engagement and drove high-quality traffic to Temu. This multi-platform strategy resulted in an exponential growth in sales, with the campaign achieving a record-breaking sales growth compared to previous periods.

The overall Return on Investment (ROI) also saw a substantial multiple increase, demonstrating the effectiveness of combining high commission incentives with strategic influencer marketing. This campaign not only helped drive immediate sales but also established long-term brand visibility and loyalty among new and returning customers.

Overall, the results of this partnership exceeded expectations, proving that influencer-driven campaigns with high-value incentives can deliver extraordinary returns and set new benchmarks in affiliate marketing performance.
