Our objective: to empower and inform a new generation of (wo)menstruators with the resources—information and products—they need to confidently embrace the various phases of their menstrual cycle through entertaining and engaging content. Produced through Condé Nast’s own purpose-driven Mission Studio, this program inspires and educates Glamour and U by Kotex audiences to eliminate stigma–no matter their life stage.
Aunt Flo, the Crimson Tide, Time of the Month, these are some of the euphemisms women have had to use to hide their periods. In this Glamour series, 20th century period historian Elissa Stein will show us where we’ve been in period history (to understand and acknowledge progress) while also galvanizing momentum for how much further we can go together. From archival images through modern day advertising (such as Kotex’s first ads that used red test liquid), this insights driven explainer based video dives into the visuals, language, and culture of periods, leveraging education to eliminate period metaphors and cultural stigmas in true Glamour fashion.
