Hulu on Disney+ Launch

Objective

In March 2024, Hulu's programming catalog became available for all Disney+ bundle streaming service subscribers. With it came award-winning Hulu Originals, more than 1,200 movies, and more than 1,300 shows.

Over 95 live-streamable sports channels are now available on Disney+ through Hulu and ESPN+. To promote the new ocean of content available to potential customers, Hulu created messaging on social handles informing viewers of its new offerings, engaging them with eye-catching creative and familiar talent.

Strategy

Leveraging their unprecedented entertainment portfolio, Hulu and Disney+ orchestrated a star-powered campaign that united iconic talent and IP from both universes. The strategy focused on creating authentic, talent-driven content that showcased the extraordinary power of these two entertainment giants coming together. The campaign culminated in a launch event that brought together industry titans spanning both worlds – from reality icon Kris Jenner and Marvel's Tom Hiddleston to acclaimed director Jon Favreau and Emmy winner Quinta Brunson.

Results

Collectively, across our owned Hulu and talent social handles, we achieved an impressive social reach of 1.6 billion! Across TWDC, Talent, and Influencer social handles, there's been over 670 posts, generating over 5.6M engagements and 18M total views. We closed out this 2-week blitz with a talent appreciation event featuring talent from both Disney+ and Hulu, including Kris Jenner, Quinta Brunson, Jeremy Allen White, and so many more. TWDC and Talent social posts supporting the Launch Event have generated an incredible 4.7M engagements.
