Call of Duty x The Walking Dead Teaser

Objective

For the first time ever, beloved characters from AMC’s The Walking Dead were coming to Call of Duty Warzone – just as a fan-favorite map, Fortune’s Keep, was set to make its return. Our goal was to get fanbases from both IPs excited for The Walking Dead’s epic entrance into Call of Duty and celebrate the return of an iconic map.

Strategy

We did what had never been done before. We completely recreated The Walking Dead’s iconically recognizable opening credit sequence, shot-for-shot, inside the world of Call of Duty. 

Technicians, capture artists, editors, sound designers and more came together to match every scene, recreate every movement, and reproduce every iconic element of The Walking Dead’s famous opening credits in true, authentic, painstaking detail. Ensuring not even the creator of the series himself, Robert Kirkman, could find a mismatched fault. 

The attention to detail and craft paid off. Instantly, the trailer had both fans of Call of Duty and the rabid fans of the Walking Dead roaring like hungry Zombies to celebrate and share a collaborative piece of content that only these two franchises could create.
