Two things that really “click” - LEGO and the holidays. Specifically, receiving LEGO set presents1! So we decided, in conjunction with our LEGO Masters Holiday Bricktacular episodes, to make that connection by fulfilling the LEGO wishlist of select fans. Whether it was for their kids or their own inner child, our overriding objective was to celebrate our dedicated audience and create a unique and memorable experience.
To bring that giving spirit to the social space, we worked with host Will Arnett to craft a mind-blowing experience for our lucky fans. Using the power of Blender and Character Animator, we brought LEGO Will to life and used him to engage with our audience. Unbeknownst to them, LEGO Will would respond to their wish lists and send them their greatest LEGO desires.
One of the more significant challenges encountered during the project revolved around meeting deadlines to ensure seamless execution. Our responsibilities included recording voiceovers with talent within a specified timeframe and delivering a script that acquired approval from all project stakeholders. Additionally, we had to guarantee the creation of all custom assets featuring the relevant LEGO kits and approved social users in time for posting. Lastly, we needed to ensure the timely delivery of all LEGO projects to distribute to the selected users.
What sets this project apart is the gathering of important components and elements needed to bring it to life successfully. We achieved the remarkable feat of offering fans an exceptional experience, making them feel truly special by having the show's host, Will Arnett, personally address each person receiving a gift.
Our intent was simple - move people through the joy of LEGO. And while each giveaway saw meaningful engagement, the true metrics were the heartfelt responses, screams of joy, and excited unboxing videos. These reactions were enough to claim success in our intent to bring holiday magic and cheer to our extended LEGO Masters family!
