Objectives

Paramount+’s “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” follows the intergalactic exploits of Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the starship USS Enterprise in the decade before the events of “Star Trek: The Original Series.” The objective of the digital out-of-home campaign was to create a massive larger-than-life presence that showcased the cosmic wonders of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” and its cast of intrepid explorers who seek to boldly go where no man has gone before. 

Strategy and Execution

Paramount+ launched a gargantuan out-of-home campaign for “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” in the heart of Times Square in New York City. The display itself was located on-site at the famed Marriott Marquis property. The dazzling billboard display transitioned through gorgeously realized cosmic vistas, character art, harrowing space travel, and the branded logo for the series “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.” The unprecedented scale of the digital display expertly complimented the show’s out-of-this-world premise and narrative.

Results

Times Square is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the entire world. It is estimated that more than 50 million people visit Times Square annually and approximately 330,000 people pass through the famous neighborhood on a daily basis. These metrics alone prove that hundreds of thousands of eyes were drawn to Paramount+’s colossal out-of-home campaign celebrating the launch of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.”
