Objectives

Welcome NFL All-pro wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. In a city full of star performers, Davante Adams and Las Vegas are the perfect match.  

Strategy and Execution

MGM Rewards announced its partnership with the Las Vegas Raiders’ star wide receiver with a thumb-stopping Instagram Reel featuring two iconic brands – the Silver and Black, and the Fountains of Bellagio. 

Using a slick whip transition, Davante landed in front of the Bellagio Fountains with an MGM Rewards-branded football in hand. The video was published to Davante Adams 1.1M Instagram followers. Additionally, it was deployed on MGM Rewards Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, the MGM Resorts TikTok, was shared by its 12 Strip resort brands and amplified through a paid media spend. The creative was also featured on 14 MGM Resort brand marquees across the Las Vegas Strip. 

Several ancillary assets have been created as well, including GIFs and lifestyle photography at MGM resorts, as well as incorporating Davante into MGM experiences. Assets will be deployed through the rest of the Raiders 22-23 season. 

Results

The video earned 2.1M+ impressions with a potential reach of 3.1M+ for both Davante and MGM Rewards. It was the second-highest viewed video posted to Davante Adam’s Instagram and earned a total of 1M+ video views. The video gained 129K+ engagements, with 700+ comments coming from rabid Davante Adams and Raiders fans excited for his debut with the team.
