Objectives

While YouTube is one of the top online search tools, it didn’t offer the content first-time home buyers needed. That’s where The Red Desk stepped in.

Mortgages are complicated. Between our depth of mortgage industry knowledge and the engaging way we've delivered written content, The Red Desk is a natural extension of our commitment to educate, engage and entertain visitors on topics that help them reach their goals.

This series offers a fresh, new approach to educating viewers about home buying. It meets home buyers where they are (YouTube) and lets them fast forward, rewind and demystify the home buying process so they can enter homeownership with confidence.

Strategy and Execution

First, because mortgages are complicated, we knew we needed a host who could explain the process in a relatable way. We looked for someone who could walk the viewer through mortgage and home buying concepts in a knowledgeable and yet approachable way.

 

When selecting topics, we really focused on what answers home buyers were searching for. We researched search queries around mortgages to find what people were trying to figure out and used those questions to guide our topics. This ensured we could provide the content potential home buyers needed.

Results

With over 4 million views, 15 million minutes watched and a 60% average view time, The Red Desk has already helped millions of potential homeowners navigate the complexities of homeownership and will continue to help millions more.
