Objectives

Brooks Brothers x FILA was a special-edition collaboration that fused Brooks Brothers' authentic American style with FILA’s storied tennis heritage. With a notable tennis influence, the collection celebrated the elegance of the sport, with a playful, unexpected take on iconic elements from each brand. The launch of the campaign needed to penetrate a large audience base from Brook Brother's dapper gentleman, to FILA's tennis demographic and its streetwear savvy consumer.

Strategy and Execution

With such a diverse targe audience, we chose to use a universally aligning factor medium– humor with an added sprinkle of mystery. Scandal on the Court is made up of 3 characters, each one loosely personifying one of the target dempgraphics and bring them together for a not so classic whodunnit. The audience plays detective as they witness a series of confessional-style interviews and humorous reenactments. Was it Barry with a pocket full of tennis balls? The noisy and overly-energetic Billie? Or George and his tennis bag of tricks? The scandal reaches a comical resolution as the tennis balls are found in a box labeled none other than..."tennis balls." The execution consists of minimalist set design let the characters, their clothing, and the mystery take center stage, with subtle nods to the colors and patterns as seen in the collaborative collection.

Results

The whimsical short film garnered praise in but the traditional fashion media but also was pcked up in advertising publications. The film and support photography helped raise awareness around the collaboration and sell thru of the limited edition product.
