Sleep is one of the most basic aspects of health yet between work, relationships, hobbies and Netflix it’s often the first to be sacrificed. JK! Studios explores this western ideology through a comedic lense with the objective of seamlessly integrating Purple’s products. We wanted to introduce the sleep-deprived citizens of the world to high-quality products through comedy.
"Feeling Tired?" is a part of our sketch video series, The Summer of Purple. It’s comprised of ten sketches created with the intent to bring viewers, their families, and friends closer together with Purple at the center.
For "Feeling Tired?", we focused specifically on the Purple mattress. What feels like a natural fit required careful planning and execution to ensure the product message was crisp and the comedy effective. Our strategy led us to parody the classic infomercial structure in relation to a universal pain point: lack of sleep.
Heightening the absurdity of sleep as a novel panacea makes this video relatable and far-reaching.
"Feeling Tired?" garnered over 1 million views on YouTube. A 30-second version aired on major television and streaming platforms—including Bravo and Hulu—reaching millions more. This clean, comedic concept built up Purple's sterling reputation as a forward-thinking leader in the marketing industry, and allowed JK! Studios to broaden its reach as a provider of brand-safe entertainment.
The market for inclusive, safe for work entertainment is vastly underserved by the majority of online and broadcast comedy providers, but JK! Studios aims to fulfill that need at every turn.
