The Good Place

Objectives

Building anticipation for the Season 2 premiere of The Good Place, we wanted to bring fans into Michael's creation, the [spoiler] fake Good Place. With so many unique and hilarious town shops like Warm Blankets and My Big Nonfat Greek Frozen Yogurt, we wanted to utilize Instagram stories to take viewers on a whirlwind tour of town.

Strategy and Execution

We enlisted the help of Manny Jacinto, who plays fan favorite Jason Mendoza, to take fans on a tour of the set via Instagram Stories. We were able to capture this content during Season 2 production over the summer, and release the series of stories during premiere week to build excitement and conversation. Fans were treated to an exclusive glimpse of never-before-seen shops and locations in their beloved Good Place neighborhood.

Results

The Story was a grand reintroduction into The Good Place universe, and fans felt right at home. The activation set the tone for the rest of the season, as we continued to play up the show's unique and oddball humor. The video accumulated over 73K views in less than 24 hours and built fan affinity for Manny Jacinto, helping to grow his social channels throughout the run of Season 2.
