New York Fashion Week is typically reserved for celebrities, editors, buyers and the Manhattan elite, but this fall, Zappos brought a refreshing surprise to the Upper West Side with the #ZapposRecharge lounge. Influencers, fashion-forward consumers and local area residents were treated with a place to rest and recharge amidst the hustle and bustle outside Lincoln Center. From charging stations, to BluePrint juices, complimentary massages, live-streaming of the fashion shows and guest appearances by designer, Betsey Johnson and top-tier fashion blogger, The Man Repeller. The entire experience was live tweeted on #ZapposRecharge and the hashtag was leveraged as a mechanism for customers to be rewarded with surprise and delight moments featuring Zappos gift cards and designer apparel and accessories. Without having a runway show, Zappos was able to capture the interest and time of Fashion Week attendees and offer them reprieve from the craziness. Additionally, Zappos brought the energy and buzz of this iconic event to all of their social media followers across the globe by live reporting all weekend on #ZapposRecharge. Social content and conversations across the hashtag resulted in 26.7 million impressions.
