The idea behind TOOTRiS Talks was born from a simple realization: supporting working parents does not stop at helping them find and pay for Child Care. As the nation’s largest real-time Child Care platform, TOOTRiS serves more than 100,000 parents each month and partners with hundreds of employers to deliver Child Care Benefits. Through this work, we saw firsthand that parents were seeking more than logistics—they were seeking guidance, reassurance, and trusted information to help them navigate everyday parenting challenges.
Our objective was to create a parent focused podcast and video series that uplifts and empowers families with practical, compassionate insights they can actually use. TOOTRiS Talks was designed to remove the noise, guilt, and judgment often found in parenting content, replacing it with expert driven conversations that meet parents where they are.
At the same time, the series supports a broader goal: helping employers succeed by supporting the whole parent. When parents feel confident, informed, and supported at home, they are more focused, productive, and engaged at work. TOOTRiS Talks strengthens that ecosystem by giving parents tools they can immediately use in real life, reinforcing our belief that when parents are supported, families thrive, employers benefit, and everyone wins.
TOOTRiS Talks was approached as more than a podcast. It was built as a thoughtfully produced video series designed for real parents with real schedules. Our strategy centered on relevance, credibility, and accessibility.
One of the biggest challenges was developing episode topics for an entire calendar year in advance. Parenting is seasonal by nature, and each episode needed to remain relevant whether it was discovered immediately or months later. This required careful planning around school cycles, holidays, and developmental milestones. Topics ranged from summer break planning and finding camps, to managing screen time during school breaks and navigating family dynamics during the holidays. Every episode was designed to offer long term value while still feeling timely and relatable.
Another major challenge was production design. Early plans placed filming exclusively at TOOTRiS headquarters, but it quickly became clear that flexibility was essential. To solve this, a custom modular studio backdrop was created that could be dismantled, transported, and rebuilt in minutes. This allowed TOOTRiS Talks to be able to be filmed across multiple locations while maintaining a consistent visual identity and high production quality.
The series is hosted by a two-time Emmy Award winning journalist and parent, whose background in broadcast journalism shaped the tone and structure of the show. Episodes are conversational, visually engaging, and easy to consume on the go. Professional lighting, thoughtful set design, and a warm visual aesthetic create an environment that feels credible, welcoming, and intimate rather than instructional.
What makes TOOTRiS Talks unique is its connection to a broader support ecosystem. The series features doctors, educators, child development experts, and fellow parents, and is integrated into a platform already trusted by families nationwide. TOOTRiS Talks is not standalone content. It is a natural extension of a mission driven brand focused on supporting parents holistically.
TOOTRiS Talks succeeded by executing a clearly defined vision: to deliver a high quality, credible parenting resource that parents would trust and return to. From the outset, success was measured by whether the series could combine strong visual production, thoughtful content, and authoritative voices into a format that felt accessible and relevant to real families.
Visually, the series achieved a consistent and professional look across every episode. The custom studio design, lighting, and set layout established a broadcast quality environment that reinforces trust and credibility with viewers. Editorially, episodes were structured to deliver practical takeaways rather than abstract discussion, with conversations guided by a host experienced in broadcast storytelling and grounded in lived parenting experience.
Guest selection played a critical role in achieving these objectives. By featuring doctors, educators, child development experts, and parents, TOOTRiS Talks ensured each episode delivered informed perspectives aligned with the real questions families are navigating. This intentional approach allowed the series to function as a reliable extension of the TOOTRiS platform, supporting parents beyond Child Care access alone.
Distribution further amplified these efforts. TOOTRiS Talks episodes were shared directly with parents through TOOTRiS communications and distributed across platforms including YouTube and Spotify. This multi channel approach allowed parents to engage with the content in formats that fit their daily routines. Within the first month of release, the series generated thousands of video views, demonstrating strong engagement and validating demand for trusted, well executed parenting content.
