Objective

While creativity is demanded at every level of modern business, very few leaders are ever taught how to practise it properly.

The Business of Creativity was started to meet that need, to make creativity understandable and powerful as a tool for business success.

As we say:

”Creativity isn’t just for a select few, it’s a fundamental skill that can be taught, nurtured, and unleashed across every corner of life and business.”


And so, we launched a creativity education course for professionals, led by co-founder, Sir John Hegarty. An eight-week online journey into the heart of creative thinking.

Since then The Business of Creativity has grown into a suite of expert-led courses and adjacent products, including live events, thought leadership, a bespoke consultancy, an inspiring B2B newsletter, and a network of like-minded industry leaders.

All designed to unlock creative potential wherever it lies.

The Business of Creativity is built to help individuals and organisations harness their creativity through high-impact courses, global events, sharp commentary, and strategic consultancy.

Especially now, in an increasingly automated world. It’s no longer optional, it’s essential.

And to help people realise that creativity is more of a system than a spark, we worked with Sir John Hegarty to distil decades of his experienc and thinking into something clear, practical, and useful without oversimplifying it. 

This became our initial course, Creativity for Growth (updated in 2025).

Since then, thanks to a ravenous audience appetite for our education and services, we've expanded our offering to unlock creativity in four ways:

  1. Courses - Expert-led, high-production programmes designed to transform how you think, lead and grow. Besides Creativity for Growth, our other courses include Advertising Principles Explained (with Orlando Wood), Marketing AI Decoded (with

The course, which encapsulates our core beliefs as individuals and an organisation, is designed as a clear creative journey.

Its structure reflects how strong creative work is best made; with a creative philosophy, processes to define that, and building a creative culture. 

Starting with the power of the truth, It is then developed through ideas, and sustained by execution and culture. Each module builds on the last, creating a clear line from thinking to impact.
