In advertising Adobe Premiere to college students, it can be difficult to rival the creativity we already see from Gen Z online. Our job was to challenge an already innovative generation to innovate further with Premiere.
Gen Z loves fit checks and getting fit pics on social. The clothes they wear say so much about their personality, making fashion a key form of self-expression. Since these are natural next-gen users for Premiere’s video editing software, we tapped into this insight to create a fun, fast-paced fashion video through the lens of “how each major would dress.”
We chose a popular video format—rapid transitions between various outfits—and experimented with creative elements one can only find in Premiere. At the apex of this execution, you can see the subject reaching into the Premiere UI herself, a form of masking that is not possible in other popular video apps and reflects a creativity one can only expect from Adobe. This video challenges an already innovative generation to innovate further with Premiere.
We created a relatable video that made college students feel seen in how they dress for their majors, while also sparking excitement about Premiere’s creative tools. And because the best things come in threes: One follower even asked, “Where’s the theatre fit?” We’ll be keeping that in mind for next time.
