While Wolf Pack is not a Teen Wolf spinoff, we knew that the audience conversion rate would likely be high considering both properties are from the mind of Jeff Davis. With this in mind, we enlisted Teen Wolf legend Holland Roden to host the Wolf Pack: Unpacked recap series. We identified five key episodes out of the eight for the season to recap via this digital series with the goal to boost social chatter, watch-time and streaming. Holland lends her own expertise to the Unpacked guests, and her involvement allows for seamless cross-promotion onto Teen Wolf's social channels. Each episode of the series has a different group of guests and dives into the making of each episode as well as delves into the biggest and best moments.
Through a two-day digital shoot, we scripted and taped all five episodes of Wolf Pack: Unpacked. Holland was a natural at leading the conversation with the Wolf Pack cast and often inserted her own personal anecdotes about creator Jeff Davis and her time working on a werewolf series in general. She guided the cast to talk about their favorite behind-the-scenes moments and favorite moments from the episodes themselves. With each episode of Wolf Pack: Unpacked launching the day after new episodes drop on Paramount+, we're able to keep the conversation going and encourage the audience to stream new episodes each week. We heavily cross-promote on Teen Wolf's social channels due to Holland's involvement, which increases viewership across the board with Teen Wolf's massive social following.
We consider this series to be a success given it's 400K+ views in it's first weekend of launch. With full episodes on YouTube and Facebook and breakouts across Twitter, Instagram and TikTok, we're seeing numbers that are amazing for not only a brand new digital series but a brand new streaming series to boot. Holland's involvement helps boost social chatter and viewership immensely as she is an iconic Teen Wolf cast member, which allows us to cross-promote our Wolf Pack: Unpacked content on those accounts.
