In July 2020, FOX Sports unveiled a fully reimagined mobile app with the goal of transforming the modern sports fan experience. The app marries design concepts that are unique to sports with a robust offering of the best video, storytelling, statistics and live streaming. Not content to simply “put a new paint coat on the house,” David Katz, EVP of FOX Sports Digital, and his team built a fresh product created for today’s consumer.

The app launched on July 20, 2020, just in time for the 25th season of Major League Baseball on FOX. Leveraging the network’s first-ever quadruple header that weekend, fans enjoyed enhanced access to America’s pastime with the app’s Bonus Cams.
The demo video, narrated by legendary FOX Sports broadcaster Joe Buck, highlighted the app’s marquee features and user-friendly feel. The video was pushed out across the company’s social platforms and shared with media.
Promotion of the app was integrated throughout FOX Sports telecasts and on local FOX affiliate stations.
The announcement was covered by a wide variety of trade press, including top tech, business and entertainment outlets such as Tech Crunch, Fast Company and Variety.
