This rollout strategy was devised to tap into two different audiences, thereby maximizing the podcast’s reach.
Launching a podcast during the COVID-19 pandemic required the “Club Shay Shay” crew to pivot from their original production plan, building a state-of-the-art home studio from scratch, rather than a set on the FOX Sports lot in Los Angeles.
"Club Shay Shay" was named one of the top sports podcasts of the year by Spotify. The podcast’s YouTube channel was the fastest to reach 100K subscribers in FOX Sports' history, earning the program a YouTube Creator Award. In only 21 episodes (as of this submission), “Club Shay Shay” has 1M downloads, 60M video views and more than 350K YouTube subscribers.
