From the 8th Annual Shorty Awards Snapchatter of the Year

The Snapchatter of the Year, presented by Univision, uses Snapchat unlike anyone else. They tell stories and bring you along for the ride every day. Whether they make you crack up on sight, take you to interesting places, can draw in the Sistine Chapel with their fingertips, every snap is screenshot worthy. Univision is honoring creators who either themselves or with their content represent the changing face of this country and create interesting, informative and entertaining snaps.

Brand entries using social media in this space can be found in the Best in Snapchat Industry Award.

He lets you follow the whole process from the waiting room, to surgery itself, …
finalist
Sara Hopkins
Sara Hopkins is one of the leading funny ladies of Snapchat when she’s not using her on-air hosting skills from her broadcast journalism days. She started on Snapchat in college when she wanted to send her friends funny-face photos without taking up storage on her phone, and now she’s sending those same faces to over 50,000 followers, as an extens…

Nominees

Branden Harvey
Branden Harvey is a storytelling photographer with too many cameras and wanderlust. He’s built a strong online community, even going homeless for a year, traveling and crashing with fellow snappers. In 2015, Br…
Danny Berk
While Danny Berk might be young, he’s one of surfing’s up-and-coming stars and is already a hit on Snapchat. He usually opts to use a fisheye lense on the back of his phone to give more of the surfer feel to his snaps. Whether …
David Infante
As the Senior Snapchat editor and writer-at-large for Thrillist, David Infante has a knack (and an “ugly mug") for social media. If he’s not writing articles for Thrillist about life in New York City or tweeting about life in the new millennium, he’s snapping about it. His Snapchat “morning show" follows his NYC subway commute, and in 2015, he used Snapchat…
Salliasnap
Sallia Goldstein, aka @Salliasnap, creates beautifully “painted" snap art and has turned her fame into being a role model for young girls interested in STEM. She has a gift of taking anything seemingly boring like a selfi…
TristanTales
Tristan Tales doesn’t simply go out and shoot his everyday life on Snapchat. Rather, he uses his everyday life to write full scripted snap stories for his followers. Using his college campus and fellow classmates as a cast for his funny tales, he does re-enSNAPments of movies, creates “choose your own adventure" reels with user participants, and goes “on sa…
YesJulz
Julz Goddard is the power woman behind the infamous @YesJulz Snapchat account, snapping her celebrity lifestyle for all to see. She started as a club promoter in Miami and is now considered something of a brand ambassador, using Snapchat as her main platform to promote clients in lively club and music scenes. She treats Snapchat “as a network to produce, di…
