Aleen Dreksler is Co-Founder and CEO of Betches, one of the earliest social-first media and entertainment companies founded and led by women. Betches has dominated women’s media for over a decade and has become the most influential brand for women in the market today. Betches was founded and bootstrapped in early 2011 by Aleen and her lifelong friends Sami Sage and Jordana Abraham and developed initially as a satirical blog catered to college-aged women. Thirteen years later, Betches has evolved into an entertainment powerhouse with a reach of 250M+ across platforms and engagement 15x higher than competitors connecting with fans across every touchpoint from video, podcast, social, and web to product and experiential. Under Aleen’s leadership, Betches has become the most powerful humor platform for women offering entertainment, information, and a community to millions of passionate and highly engaged millennial and Gen Z fans. A powerhouse entrepreneur, Aleen sets the bar high for the humor, experience, and value that Betches offers fans, clients, colleagues, and talent. As CEO of Betches, Aleen spearheads the company’s growth and leads the overall business strategy while building, marketing, and positioning Betches as the global authority in women’s content and culture. In 2023, Betches Media was acquired by LBG Media, the owner of the global leader in youth publishing LADbible Group with Aleen at the helm to shepard in a new era for the brand. Until this acquisition, Betches operated independently with its three co-founders owning 100% of the business since its inception in 2011. Aleen earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at Cornell University. The founders have earned spots on The New York Times Bestseller List and in 2019 Aleen was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Currently, she resides with her family outside New York City. To connect with Aleen, follow her on all social media channels at @aleen and listen to her podcast @Betches.
