Presented by SCAD, Fashion in Frame is a premier cinematic showcase of innovative designs by SCAD fashion students and alumni. Featuring user-generated content captured by in-demand models and portraits by acclaimed photographer Alexandra Arnold (B.F.A., photography, 2014), Fashion in Frame heralds the evolution of the virtual fashion scene. Our intention was to produce a film with all the safety guidelines in place during a COVID quarantine, but still highlight the student fashion in light of the annual Spring fashion show being cancelled.
We created the film using key university alumni and produced the film remotely when possible in New York, Los Angeles, Savannah, and Atlanta. Our production team worked closely with the Photography department and The School of Fashion to create an elevated fashion film with influencers and celebrities as models. The film was posted on a unique “Fashion in Frame” landing page, connected to SCAD’s website. For the university admissions department, the film has been translated into Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Spanish to broaden the reach to more diverse audiences.
The film was posted to the Fashion and Frame event page with a combined viewership of 60,000 views from both YouTube and Instagram. This release successfully met our team’s objectives and goals, showing that SCAD has a global audience online for admission opportunities.
