Starting with a series of videos cutting open sports balls to see what they’re made of for a school project, Daniel Markham and his son Lincoln really opened up a can of YouTube worms. Now they cut open all sorts of things, from a rattlesnake’s rattle to a PokeBall to the YouTube Gold Play Button they earned for gaining 1M subscribers in December 2015. Their success continued to skyrocket this year, nearly quadrupling that number of subscribers by the end of 2016 with videos that regularly get millions of views each. That success has given the Utah-based family the opportunity to travel the world, discovering new people, places, and things (that they then cut open).
