Anyone who's ever tried to find a doctor knows what a pain in the ass it can be. Which is one reason we're so excited about our latest TV campaign for Zocdoc ‘You’ve Got Options’.
From a couple of toothless hockey bros, to a roommate on the brink of death lying on the bathroom floor – this campaign showcases the absolute joy people feel when they’ve find the right doc, despite being in pretty rough shape.
To do this, we dialed up the writing, landed some catchphrases, and juxtaposed our giddy protagonists with some pretty wack ailments – like Double Pink Eye™.
It feels great to partner with a "siiiiick" brand like Zocdoc to make some hilarious work, but it feels even better to let people know they have options when it comes to healthcare.
"Thuper Thweet" if you ask us.
It turns out, GenZ and Millennial patients are falling behind on all-things healthcare due to the archaic system that surrounds it. Their experience with this system has led them to believe that getting care is convoluted, fragmented, and complex.
Whether attempting to understand healthcare information or schedule appointments, wading through the healthcare system is time-intensive and emotionally-intensive. Patients are put in the position of having to spend the equivalent of an entire workday each month just to coordinate care. And when they successfully do so, they have to wait an average of 26 days from calling to appointment.
The healthcare journey culminates with patients feeling exhausted and resigning themselves to whatever care they are able to access. That means that even if the patient feels their doctor intimidates them or rushes them, they are so drained from the searching and booking process that they only have enough energy to shrug and accept the cards they were dealt.
Zocdoc’s big ‘aha:’ The healthcare system’s treatment of patients conditions them to settle. With a healthcare system that requires its patients to jump through endless hoops just to get any care, it is no wonder they have no energy left to go through it all again in order to get quality care.
In response, Zocdoc found its strategy: encourage patients to raise their care standards and choose the right doctor for themselves. By transferring power to the patients, Zocdoc not only makes the process of finding and booking care easier, it provides them with an empowering experience they enjoy in many other aspects of their life: choice. Using Zocdoc’s robust reviews and search capabilities, patients can be picky across a myriad of options, from bedside manner to wait time to provider type, and find quality care–no matter how they define it.
