As part of Indeed’s Rising Voices program, we wanted to shine a spotlight on those behind the camera, in the essential supporting roles that made the 10 films of Rising Voices come to life. The objective of the program was to foster candid discussions with those already in the industry about the importance of getting an opportunity, invite jobseekers to learn about the fields of cinematography, composition, production, and empower them to go out on a limb and find their dream job.
By featuring those in behind the scenes jobs, we were able to explore roles and responsibilities that often do not get the shine of those in front of the camera, and showcase the variety of opportunities that are available in the industry. To tell that story, we created an original interview-based video series that featured one behind the scenes team-member from each of the 10 Rising Voices films. In each episode, we discussed how each person got their start in the industry, and the importance of having that opportunity to explore their passion.
The Turn the Camera videos were shared on Indeed’s Rising Voices landing page with the goal of raising further awareness for the program and educating audiences about Rising Voices. By sharing these videos on the Rising Voices landing page alongside the films themselves, we were able to tell a well-rounded story about the films, filmmakers, crews, from start to finish.
