Whether it’s a post on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, the parody account is bound to be roasting a team, league, or player for something stupid or embarrassing they just did. In fact, ESPN—home of the real SportsCenter—tried to legally take ownership of the parody account in 2017. The owner of the account, Will Applebee, represented himself in court and won, despite ESPN’s high-powered team of lawyers. Talk about a Cinderella story!
