Described by NYMag.com as the “Last Pure Place Online,” Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary is a Facebook community established in reverence of aging dogs, promoting their stories through positivity, compassion, and love. Based on the work and mission of its namesake nonprofit organization, Tennessee-based OFSDS offers lifetime Forever Foster homes for senior dogs. With over 1.5 million likes, the nonprofit’s Facebook page raises awareness and esteem through humor and kindness, entertaining and educating through social media promotions including the recent “Put a Pug in the White House” #Mildred2016 campaign, with memorabilia and keepsakes offered at the nonprofit’s “Ye Olde Friends Shoppe.”
