Chicago had a great year this year, starting with the meteoric rise of Chance The Rapper in the hip hop scene. Chance, a Kanye protege, released his critically-acclaimed mixtape Coloring Book exclusively on Apple Music, rapping about everything from his new daughter to Jesus Christ to the difficulties of being black in Chicago. Chance’s soulful sound and playful attitude play well to his millions of followers on Instagram and Twitter. He’s so sweet, he’s even became the new spokesperson and songwriter for Kit Kat commercials. Like his hit single says, “You don’t want zero problems”—though we don’t have any with @chancetherapper as he takes over the rap world.
