BuzzFeed’s first scripted narrative web series is here. You Do You was released online in 2015 through weekly episodes viewable for free on YouTube and an instant full-season purchase on iTunes internationally. Following the Los Angeles-based adventures of BFF twentysomethings Quinta, Sara, Ella, and Ashly, the show tackles—in two- to three-minute episodes—millennial fears about jobs, relationships, and blossoming sexual preferences in the spirit of the BuzzFeed Violet label. Characters are loosely based on the BuzzFeed contributors’ real personalities and an extension of their popular social media personas, which have more than 500k followers combined.
