Success on the field, in the classroom and in life is at the heart of the NCAA's missions. We support learning through sports by integrating athletics and higher education to enrich the college experience of student-athletes. The goal of this campaign was to highlight the academic backgrounds of 2015 Women's World Cup participants.
From June 6 to July 5, we took advantage of the attention on the Women's World Cup by live tweeting about current and former student-athletes competing in the event. Each post linked back to a page on ncaa.org that included off-the-field achievements by those players.
The campaign garnered 2.25M impressions, 71,000 engagements, 2,000 retweets and 4,400 clicks back to our landing page on ncaa.org. To celebrate the U.S. title, we created a congratulatory video that received 5,600 views.
