Shay Butler, wife Colette, and their five children are considered “YouTube’s first family." Documenting their lives in daily YouTube videos since 2008, the ShayTards have grown up in front of the camera. With 4 million subscribers and more than 2 billion views, Shay says he owes their success to the many people who want to see happy families—his first video was simply him prancing around his wife, laughing. The ShayTards sold ownership of online media company Maker Studios to Disney in 2014 and branched out with their #TrixinClothing line. In 2015, the family documented their trip to VidCon and created the video for Best Beauty Series shown at the Streamy Awards.
