Mountain Dew was looking to drive excitement for it's new Kickstart flavors among urban millennials. They tapped Epic Signal to help. Epic Signal teamed-up with D-trix, the biggest dance influencer on YouTube.
With over 2.7 million subscribers, D-Trix offered up to help one lucky person 'Kickstart' their own YouTube channel. D-trix announced the contest to his fans over the weekend via Twitter video. To help generate buzz around the contest on Twitter, Epic Signal tapped two other highly relevant influencers to promote the contest, Wong Fu Productions and Andrew Garcia.
For the chance to participate, all contestants have to do is Tweet a video of their best dance move to @MountainDew and include #KICKSTARTxDTRIX before the deadline. Mountain Dew and D-trix flew one lucky winner (All That) out to LA to dance with him in the seventh episode of his wildly popular Now Add a Dancer video series.
The #KICKSTARTxDTRIX campaign has had a big impact to date, resulting in massive awareness for Kickstart.
