Objectives

Bravo's Daily Dish app delivers an always-on ecosystem for fans to engage with Bravo shows, talent, and buzzy pop culture news. Unlike most TV network apps, fans engage with Daily Dish content 24/7/365 and strive to be the first to hear and experience Bravo's most talked about and sharable news. The Daily Dish App was designed to serve both the casual fan, looking to periodically check in on lifestyle content, and the die-hard reality TV fan, clamoring for every update from their favorite Housewife or Top Chef.

Strategy and Execution

The Daily Dish originated as a digital destination, but as it grew to be the #1 most visited section of Bravotv.com, we strove to better serve our engaged fans with a fully native app for iOS and Android. Since the launch of the Daily Dish App, users spend more than double the time engaging with content on the app vs. on BravoTV.com and consume 4x as much content per visit. Since its launch in 2014, the app has become a fixation for reality TV fans' with average users visiting the app 6 days per week and consuming content for over 6+ minutes per session.

The engaging and binge-worthy content is curated into a feed of news articles, photo galleries, social posts, and videos. Users can view, favorite, and share their favorite stories across platforms and extend reach to other like-minded reality-TV audiences. Plus, our simple user interface delivers the latest and greatest headlines in a constantly updating feed.

Results

Beyond the content stream, the Daily Dish app also provides engaging and rewarding elements including redeemable offer cards and geo-targeting capabilities. As fans navigate through the app, they seamlessly activate sponsor coupons. This offer platform allows sponsor partners to reach fans in the context of our featured content, providing a sleek native integration and delivering a win/win scenario for fans and sponsors alike. In our first offer card execution, we targeted our scripted series, Odd Mom Out, which follows an uber-weathly mommy clique in NYC's Upper East Side. Fans were able to preview exclusive clips in the content stream as well as unlock [sponsored] perks (including spa days, exercise classes, and cleaning services) to live the life of the characters in their favorite show. The campaign increased app downloads +58% and earned 4MM native impressions on across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and partner sites.

Whether our fans check the app while they're in line at the grocery store or while sneaking a quick break at work, the Daily Dish's up-to-the-minute content experience will strive as a source of endless entertainment and a staple in our fans' daily regime.
