Off their successful Real Housewives parody The Hotwives of Orlando, Hulu returned with The Hotwives of Las Vegas. Word has it the cast was so convincing they were mistaken for ladies of the night on the Strip while filming, a testament to their spot-on, scathing social commentary on reality shows. Viewers have cited the show allows people to get their kicks without a sour shame feeling of laughing at real people. As creator and performer Dannah Phirman puts it, “We’re not making fun. We’re just sort of lovingly petting them. Like Lennie in ‘Of Mice and Men.’ Petting them until they die."
