Introduce a new show to the Nickelodeon audience through a platform that they are using to constantly consume new content
Take advantage of YouTube's annotation function to provide an interactive experience that occurs within the main set of Nickelodeon's new show Game Shakers.
Using this environment Nickelodeon introduced characters, show clips, and original content to deepened the consumer's knowledge of the show and its characters while getting them excited for the show launch. Users were able to explore three main areas – the Studio, Kitchen, and Lobby. Each area contained multiple clickable annotations placed over objects that lead to related pieces of content
The experience was kept as one long video with annotations jumping users to different moments in the timeline. This allowed for full viewing of all content pieces without using annotations should the user decide to watch using that method.
Full access to the set and actors allowed us to create custom content tailored specifically to the YouTube experience. We were able to record sound bites that keep the static moments interesting and a custom opener that gives users a walkthrough of the experience.
This was one of our first digital pieces for launching the show and was a huge success. We've received almost 400K views to date and multiple positive comments.
