DDB Chicago is an advertising agency with a rich history. We created our Instagram account to build on that legacy in the 21st Century by showcasing our work, our people and our culture. To give people an inside look into the agency. The audience for our account is current/prospective employees, current/potential clients, as well as the advertising industry as a whole. Our goals are to use our Instagram account to help recruit top talent, generate interest from potential clients, and solidify our creative influence with current clients.
Our strategic approach includes utilizing time-targeted postings based on historical metrics, unique content and solid engagement with our current & prospective clients, employees and the larger advertising industry. Our contents varies from our ad campaigns and our employees enjoying the perks of working at DDB Chicago, to fun ways of wishing people a happy holiday. We mix up our content leveraging our internal capabilities and using various production techniques: beautiful still shots, creative edits of images, stop-motion videos and even fully-animated videos.
Last year, Scott Terry, who runs our Instagram account was a finalist in the Best Instagrammer category for the work he did for DDB Chicago. Our account has been written up several times in the trade press (Reel Chicago, Chicago Business Journal, Advertising Scene, Media Post and Fleishman Hillards' True blog). We've had a lot of interest from people who want to work here because of the content we've posted. In 2015, we dramatically increased our engagement: 1,358% increase in followers (584 to 8,515) and an 962% increase in average likes (13 to 138).
