More than showcasing the ins and outs of what it's like to work for our company (as most company Instagrams do) -- we chose to make our Instagram channel a lens into what our company powers and what powers us. This meant displaying the beautiful imagery that comes out of our media arm, showcasing volunteer projects that our employees partake in, to generating inspirational quote images based on the quotes our thousands of Terminal users see on a daily basis when logging in.
We wanted to be unique within the financial services industry by showcasing the above -- but at the same time connect everything we show to data and how it impacts the world around us.
The Bloomberg Instagram account was able to grow to 30k+ followers in one year without promotion of any kind -- paid or organic.
With this growth we plan to parlay post engagement into ways in which we connect directly with our fans from a B2C/B2B perspective.
