Objectives

With such a legendary cast of talent, the personalities behind SNL have fascinated fans for 40 seasons. With SNL on Instagram, we're now able to truly connect the audience, the show, and the actors with an unprecedented look inside Studio 8H.

During the show:

Instagram becomes the ultimate second screen companion, from rehearsals to the standby line to hair and makeup (and even more makeup); from the host's opening monologue to just before the musical guest's performance; from last-minute edits to Weekend Update jokes until finally wrapping the night with a bow.

During the week:

We take you inside the creative process such as a pitch meeting, writers' night, read thru, soundcheck, promo shoots and more. Who knows, maybe you'll see SNL from the POV of a cast member, host or musical guest during one of the show's many Instagram Takeovers.

Connecting the audience and cast:

With so many new faces on the show, the actors utilize Instagram to introduce themselves to the audience. In our Instagram video series #Freshman15, cast members such as Sasheer Zamata, Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney talked about - among other things - their new sleeping habits, favorite things about moving to New York, and their most memorable moments on the show.
