Objectives

@NeuteredScooter and The Ten Movement are on a mission to end kill-shelter execution and give cats an extra life in a no-kill world. The most effective solution to overpopulation is spaying and neutering. Some cat owners avoid it because they're unaware of low-cost options and because they think neutering, "makes cats less manly."

We took this absurd idea of a cat's sexual identity and ran with it. Instead of depressing people with a standard Sarah McLaughlin tear-jerker, we created a force for cat masculinity in a world with too many pussies.

The embodiment of '70s machismo, Scooter prowls media to champion low-cost spay and neuter options. Though his TV spot ran in only two markets, the response to Scooter exceeded expectations—with 162 million earned media impressions.

Spaying and neutering spiked among our target—as @NeuteredScooter's potent message about losing his junk got the balls rolling on a no-kill world for cats.

Strategy and Execution

@NeuteredScooter makes human faces smile and cat gonads disappear. The world is a better place because of Scooter.
