Alexys (Lex) Fleming is a 21 year old licensed Cosmetologist, self-taught Makeup Artist, licensed Esthetician, Type 1 Diabetic, and optimist. Art and inspiring others is her passion, my love, and life. From the heart, she stands for anti-bullying, awareness, creativity, and self expression. "Makeup is more than just a perception of beauty, it is used to make people feel confident, or make them into a completely new character. You can be whatever you put your mind to in the world of art, but most importantly, always be yourself," says Lex. She became more interested in makeup in high school, where she used art to relieve stress from being bullied at school, and to cope with her new diagnosis as a Type 1 Diabetic at age 13. Lex graduated high school one year early, as well as her first year of Cosmetology. She became licensed in both Aesthetics and Cosmetology by age 19. "Creativity is who I am, and helping others helps the world, one step at a time."
