Embassy Suites is a truly different hotel product in that it offers a unique value proposition: two-room suites, free made-to-order breakfast and complimentary drinks and snacks every evening. We wanted to acknowledge our loyal guests and celebrate our 30th Anniversary by giving away one free night stay every day throughout the month of November. We asked our audience to answer the question, "What was your favorite memory at Embassy Suites?" Each day a new winner was chosen and awarded a free night stay. Our goal was to give back to our loyal social community by giving away 30 free night stays around the holidays. Each day of November, we featured a different Embassy Suites hotel to showcase our properties around the United States. To accomplish this contest & generate content, we used Social Media Champions (Social Media Manager at the hotel level) from selected markets to send us stories about team members, volunteering around their city, and general content to feature the exciting things going on at their hotels. This contest was Embassy Suites' most successful campaign in 2014; Having 30 opportunities to win a free night stay motivated our audience to enter multiple times which resulted in over 12,000 contest entries.
To celebrate 30 #PrettyGreat years of Embassy Suites, we kicked off a sweepstakes to give away a free night stay every day for 30 days throughout the month of November. Guests/Fans were encouraged to enter via the sweepstakes app on Embassy's Facebook page and answer the sweepstakes question, "What is your favorite memory at Embassy Suites" for a chance to win a free night stay each day. The key performance indicators for this contest were to increase brand awareness, encourage entries to the contest, and increase social engagement with our audience. We saw an increase of fan appreciation from not only our winners on the Embassy Suites' social channels, but from people happy to relive their special moments spent at an Embassy Suites property. By running this contest, we were able to connect with our fans/guests on an emotional level, which helped reinforce brand loyalty among our audience.
