About The Mighty Jerd

Jeff "The Mighty Jerd" Mueller represents a new breed of geek, one just as comfortable playing video games or reading comic books as he is in the gym or participating in athletics. A life long martial artist and self-described nerd, the Jerd (that's Jock+Nerd) has spent the last two years trying to help bring fitness and healthy lifestyles to the geek masses through fun and informative blogging and vlogging. His goal is to help as many people as possible embrace a healthy lifestyle without feeling like they have to change who they are, or leave their geeky interests and past-times behind. He truly believes that anyone with the desire can "go from geek to real-life superhero" as long as they are armed with the right tools! In order to accomplish his goals, and develop a "superhero team of awesome", Jeff "The Mighty Jerd" Mueller works to promote fitness and healthy lifestyles in an easily accessible (and non-pushy) manner through publications of weekly articles at and then working to bring awareness to the content via YouTube, Twitter, Google+ and Facebook. Whether creating inspirational memes for Facebook, using the #FitnessFriday hashtag to tweet regular fitness and diet tips to his followers on Twitter, filming exercise videos and fitness related shows on YouTube, or participating & offering advice on multiple fitness related communities on Google+, Jeff tries to reach each audience with the type of content they are accustomed to. Rather than just showing results like many fitness models, or just putting out workouts, the Jerd focuses on a ground-up education including nutritional, motivational, and workout methodologies geared towards beginners who want to change their lives!
