Finalist in Facebook Page

The Girls Facebook page serves as the headquarters for official Girls news and clips, with posts reaching an average of 2.7MM total Facebook users. Though largely a directly promotional platform, the Girls page excites fans with tune-in reminders, series news updates, and episode highlights via video clips or transcribed fan-favorite moments. The Girls Facebook page is a daily outlet for fans to discuss recent episodes in the comments of posts, and engage in heated debate about show topics. Girls on Facebook encourages the discussion of series themes, and acknowledges and interacts with fan conversations. Girls on Facebook has grown to over 1.3MM fans, a 700K increase in the past month since the new season commenced. The profile shares timely content and drives to digital spaces for all things Girls-related, embracing the zeitgeist-capturing nature of the show. To refresh fans on where we would pick up the new season, we shared recap content ranging from iconic, fan-favorite transcribed monologues, to mock iPhone screenshots, using the Emoji language to recap character arches since the first episode. We released the digital-exclusive Character Campaign posters as a holiday season gift to fans before the new Girls season, honoring the community’s position as super-sharers and superfans.
