The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence develops and implements extensive public health and safety programs and utilizes the courts to reduce gun violence. Through our Legal Action Project, we represent victims of gun violence in cases against irresponsible gun sellers and owners. Through our public health and safety programs, we inspire safer attitudes and behaviors around the 300 million guns already in our homes and communities and new gun purchases taking place every day. The Brady Center uses social media to help disseminate information wildly, whether it be reports/graphics done in house or media done by other organizations that help further Brady's goals to increase background checks, prevent gun violence, and make America safer. We also use social media to engage the American public and help create a dialogue across platforms. Our use is unique because of how we are able to engage with the public through cross platforms and succeed in driving traffic to both our Facebook and Twitter pages.
