Our goal for our Juneteenth Instagram Story was to create content that would help educate kids and their parents on the holiday and how they can celebrate it this year and for years to come. Diversity and inclusion are core values for Nick and so it felt right to help inform kids about a big moment in history that is often overlooked.
Our first Juneteenth story was posted the day before and provided facts about the holiday with the information being vetted by our internal teams. The next day, Junteenth, we quizzed our fans about the holiday using Instagram’s quiz sticker. By providing information on the history of the holiday we wanted to supply parents with information they could use to teach their kids about the history of the holiday, and ultimately initiate a conversation about diversity and inclusion.
This story was also turned into an on-air spot as well - getting even more eyes on the content and information out about Juneteenth.
Our Juneteenth stories combined garnered over 800k impressions and over 100k engagements - well over benchmarks. In fact it’s one of the top 10 stories for the year.
Fans and talent sentiment was incredibly positive.
