Bear Witness: Take Action was a conversation aimed to unite and inspire YouTube's global community to take action for racial justice. The goal was to provide a place for conversation, awareness, healing, and bring the broadest community together for a discussion around recent events and the injustice that was happening. Additionally, we wanted to create change and raise funding and awareness for social justice causes.
Our strategy was to bring together YouTubers, influential public figures, racial injustice leaders, and activists to have an open forum discussion and activate the YouTube community into participating in the discussion. We sent out a call to action for the global YouTube community prior to the event to submit video submissions - questions, responses and general emotions.
